Samsung Note 7
Note: Due to battery issues with some Note 7 devices Samsung has decided to pause the sales of the Note 7 and ensures that affected devices will be replaced. We’ll update you as soon as we receive all details regarding this Product Recall.

Wait no more, Samsung Note 7 is now launched right here in BIGBOX.

After trying out for a week, our team has come up with a few comments on the different features the great Note 7 has to offer. Here’s why we are totally in love with the Note 7:

Design:

Understand that the newly launch note 7 has a round edge which is smooth and just nice for your grip. It is a large phone but feels surprisingly comfortable when you hold it in your hand. The front and back panels are manufactured with the latest and most durable Gorilla Glass 5, and they curve toward the central aluminium band symmetrically. It has the optimized large display which is 5.7 inch wide. And what a display this is! Samsung is clearly leading the pack when it comes to display technology for mobile phones: sharp and bright, even outdoors.

Good to know: the Note 7 is rated IP68, which means it’s sealed and well protected against dust, sand and water splashes. You can even bring it to the pool and take underwater photos (up to 1 meter deep).

Camera:

The Note 7 has the same camera specifications as the popular S7 and S7 Edge: 12 megapixels on the rear and 5 at the front. In comparison to the Note 5’s 16 megapixel camera, I know Note 7’s 12 megapixel is no longer tempting you much, but image quality has a lot to do with processing and light instead of megapixels. The speed of the camera which focuses on a picture is uncanny. It’s lightning fast to acquire the subject and snap a photo.

The Note 7 takes sharp, clear, photos in a lot of settings like indoor, outdoor and as well as low-light settings. Did you know that it lights up the screen as flash for selfie in dark environments. And wow, there is an extra-wide selfie function that works just like panorama mode. Now you can take a group photo without worrying that everyone has to squeeze inside this frame!

Battery life

Battery life estimation is usually difficult to gauge as each different user usage patterns varies. With a battery capacity of 3,500 mAh, it is safe to say it can withstand a heavy usage throughout a day.

In the meantime Samsung has further improved the medium and maximum power saving modes to help make sure you can save your battery when you are running low for urgent uses. Adding on, with the interface, the resolution changes when power saving mode will be activated to help save more!

S Pen

The S Pen is one of the features that sets the Note 7 apart from its competition, it is almost the trademark of a Note. The pen is oh-so-attractive! The S Pen can be used to scribble down notes, sketch out pictures or navigate the phone’s interface. Tweaking the hardware of the S pen, the tip is narrower and senses 4,096 levels of pressure, twice as many levels of sensitivity as compared to last year’s model, for a natural writing feel. The stylus will not get stuck if it is placed upside down into the phone. The S Pen also have the same level of water resistance as the phone itself, it can also work when the phone is wet. CNet actually tested and the S Pen actually worked after immersing the entire phone in 2.5 feet of water for 28 minutes.

Iris Scanning

Wow, iris scanning? Is this even for real? With everyone being so dependent on phone, I suppose someday this technology will be added as a feature into the phones, but is this really working this well? I supposed everyone have their own doubts, but apparently the iris scanner that is supposed to unlock the phone with your eyes is fast and accurate, even work well with glasses on and even in dark environment. And as Samsung advices, it’s recommended for secondary security measure.
